About Us

West Tennessee Border Collie Rescue saves Border Collies and Border Collie mixes from high kill shelters located in Tennessee and surrounding states. Occasionally we get dogs that were found on the side of the road, and on a very limited basis, we accept owner surrenders. We provide the dogs with veterinary care and place them in loving foster homes where they can start to recover from the life they left behind. We strive to find the best adoptive family for each dog in our program.

To adopt one of our dogs, you will need to fill out our online application. Once your application has been reviewed (this may take a couple of days), you will be contacted to continue the process. This will include a home visit to ensure that your home would be suitable for the dog you are interested in. In addition to the home visit, we will also contact your vet reference and other references to ensure that other pets are taken care of and receive appropriate medical care.

Our adoption fee is $200. This ensures that the dog has had all its vaccines, is free of worms, is spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Our dogs will also be heartworm free and on prevention as well as on flea/tick prevention. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, and young puppies will be adopted with a mandatory spay/neuter contract.
